Coach Ryan Schachter figured the Corona del Mar High boys basketball
team would hit a bump or two because of its grueling schedule.
But not during Pacific Coast League play.
The Sea Kings will look to return to their winning ways in a league game at
CdM (17-6,
5-0 in league), No. 4 in Division III-A, beat Laguna Hills, 68-53, in the first
meeting on Jan. 11. The two teams shared the league crown last year, but
senior forward Joe Eberhard made an early statement
as to which team is the hands-down favorite this year by scoring a career-high
35 points against the Hawks (7-17, 2-3).
